President's International Scholarship of Excellence at York University 2024-25

International high school applicants starting their first year of a four-year undergraduate program at York University and demonstrating academic excellence, a dedication to extracurricular activities and volunteer work, and leadership abilities will be given the President's International Scholarship of Excellence.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for President's International Scholarship of Excellence:

• Applicants must be classed as international students.
• Applicants must be enrolled in any of the undergraduate programs at the university.
• Applicants must secure a minimum 'A' average or equivalent (York factor 8 or 9).
• If the applicant has at least 24 credits every Fall/Winter term with a GPA of at least 6.0, their scholarship will be extended for three more years of full-time study or until they finish their degree.

Application Process:

• All eligible candidates must complete and submit the online application form to be considered for the scholarship.
• The application should include the following components:
  • A Personal statement (max. 3000 characters), 
  • A financial profile,
  • A list of activities and volunteer experiences
  • A letter of reference. 

Note: If the person receiving this award changes their immigration status while studying at York and is no longer required to pay foreign tuition fees, the award amount will be adjusted to reflect the current domestic tuition fees.
