OS-HELP Loans at Flinders University 2025

Eligibility:

• The applicant must be an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder, or a New Zealand citizen who has been a long-term resident of Australia since childhood, and meet specific eligibility requirements (see the Study Assist website for details).
• The applicant must be enrolled in a Commonwealth-supported course of study at Flinders University, leading to a higher education award.
• The applicant must have completed at least 36 units of study in Australia as a Commonwealth-supported student for the course they are seeking assistance for.
• The applicant must be studying full-time overseas.
  The overseas study must count towards their course as credit.
• The applicant must need to complete at least 4.5 units of study upon returning from overseas to finish their course.

Application Process:

• Submit applications online via the Flinders University Student Information System.
• Login and go to the "My Scholarships" tab to submit your application.
• The application form is titled "OS-HELP".
• Read the "How to Apply" page and ensure your personal details are up-to-date in Student Two, as your application will be assessed based on this information (e.g., home address, semester address, citizenship).
• After submission, your application will be assessed.
• If you meet the eligibility criteria and your application is approved, you will need to submit an OS-HELP debt confirmation form to Student Finance Services.

Value:

The OS-HELP assistance amount will be the amount the student applied for, but not exceeding:

• $8,245 if studying outside Asia.
• $9,893 if studying in Asia.
• An additional $1,314 if undertaking Asian language study in preparation for studying in Asia.
