Canada Graduate Scholarships Program Doctoral Scholarship And SSHRC Doctoral Scholarship Humanities at Laval University 2024-25

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to apply, the candidate must:

• Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a protected person under subsection 95(2) of  the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act  as of the application deadline;
• Have completed  no more than 24 months*  of full-time study in the doctoral program by December 31 of the calendar year of the submission of the application if you were enrolled in a second-cycle program before;
• Have completed  no more than 36 months  of full-time study in the doctoral program by December 31 of the calendar year in which the application is submitted if you were enrolled in a joint program (e.g., an MD-Ph D or MA-Ph.D);
• If you fall into this category, the 36-month period applies, whether or not you have been enrolled in a master's program before;
• Have completed no more than 36 months of full-time study in the doctoral program by December 31 of the calendar year in which the application is submitted if you enrolled in the doctoral program directly after obtaining your bachelor's degree (without registering for a graduate program).
• Applicants moving directly from bachelor's to doctoral degrees must be enrolled in the doctoral program at the time of application submission.

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship: 

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of up to CAD 40,000.
