About:

This scholarship aims to assist gifted Chinese international students enrolled in University of Waikato undergraduate or graduate programs for the first time. The scholarships are valued at up to NZD 15,000 and will be given to deserving candidates with outstanding academic records.

Eligibility for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship for China:

The candidate must be a Chinese citizen or lawful permanent resident
The applicant must seek full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program as a new international student at the University of Waikato.
To be admitted to the University of Waikato, a candidate must have a minimum GPA equivalent to a B+.

Selection criteria:

The basis of academic merit.
Potential to become global ambassadors for the University of Waikato.
