Alexander Ogilvie Postgraduate Scholarship in Scottish History at University of Glasgow 2025

Alexander Ogilvie Postgraduate Scholarship in Scottish History at University of Glasgow 2025 is offered to students who have confirmed the offer of admission to Scottish History (postgraduate) within the School of Humanities. 

Eligibility Criteria of Alexander Ogilvie Postgraduate Scholarship in Scottish History at University of Glasgow:

• Applicants must have confirmed the offer of admission to study Scottish History (postgraduate program, research degree of PhD or MPhil or MRes) at the university.
• Applicants who are in receipt of full-tuition scholarship do not qualify for the scholarship.
• Applicants may come from any nationality.
• Applicants must exhibit good academic standing.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must sent the applications via e-mail to Martin.MacGregor@glasgow.ac.uk AND humanities-scholarships@glasgow.ac.uk, with 'Alexander Ogilvie Postgraduate Scholarship in Scottish History' in the subject line.

The scholarship application should include the following components:

• Full applications (for postgraduate study in Scottish History) including current CV and two academic references
• Personal statement (max. 500 words) outlining the applicant’s research interests in Scottish History
• Evidence of acceptance of admission offer

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship of approximately GBP 1,800.
