The Joe Raynes Award, established by Mr. Joseph Raynes' Will, supports the study of Drawing, Painting, or Design. Originally for the Diploma in Fine Arts with Honours, it is now available to Master of Fine Arts (MFA) students.
Eligibility Criteria for the Joe Raynes Award at the University of Auckland 2025:
Applicants must:
- Have met the requirements to graduate with either a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) (BFA(Hons)), or Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Arts (PGDipFA) from the University of Auckland in the year preceding the award.
- Be enrolled full-time or part-time in a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at the University of Auckland in the year of the award.
- The Award will be granted to the MFA student who achieves the highest marks in their Studio courses from the preceding year.
Value of the Joe Raynes Award at the University of Auckland 2025:
One Award will be made annually and will be of the value of up to $1,500.
Application Process:
No separate application is necessary. All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
