Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Fostering Scholars program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be highly motivated to attend and succeed in college.
Be between the ages of 17–25. - Be a current dependent youth in state, tribal, or federally recognized foster care OR have aged out of such care.
- Have completed the FAFSA and qualify as "Independent Student Status" under federal financial aid guidelines.
- Be a resident of Washington State.
- Have been offered admission to Seattle University or be awaiting admission notification for the fall quarter, either as a first-year or transfer student.
