Esteemed ESO Scholarships Team, I am writing this email hoping that it finds you in a sound state of health. My name is Dr Achyut Kanungo and I hereby express my profound interest in University of Edinburgh scholarships for online learning Masters programmes offered during the academic year 2024-2025 specifically for MSc Surgical Sciences. I am a medical graduate from India who aspires to be an academic surgeon with the aim of contributing towards national and international surgical academia. From my humble middle-class background, pursuing a career in surgery has been a financial struggle. Nonetheless, I have consistently been an outstanding student with multiple medals and distinctions throughout my medical school. Since graduation, I have made deliberate attempts at self-improvement using meager earnings on courses such as ATLS, Royal College of Surgeons Basic Surgical Skills, CCrISP among others. These short courses will prepare me for future surgical posts. However, limited funds impede my ambition to undertake MSc Surgical Sciences programme in the University of Edinburgh. This scholarship is crucial for me to access the education required to successfully apply for surgical training in the immediate future. I am dedicated to utilizing the knowledge gained to make significant contributions to the field. For the 2024–2025 academic year, the University of Edinburgh will provide several scholarships for online learning Masters programs. These scholarships include full tuition costs plus a contribution toward the cost of an internet connection.

Eligibility for Edinburgh Surgery Online Global Scholarships:

Those who are approved for admission to the MSc Surgical Sciences (Online Learning) and ChM (Online Learning) programs in general surgery, urology, trauma and orthopaedics, and vascular and endovascular surgery will get the scholarships.
Applicants for Masters programs must have a conditional offer.

Value of the Scholarship:

Each scholarship will cover full tuition fees
