The Department of Welfare of SC/ST/OBC is in charge of overseeing the centrally supported Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Delhi, which the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India provides. The award is intended to give post-matriculation/post-secondary students financial help as they pursue their studies. The chosen students will get an annual academic allowance of up to INR 10,000 in addition to up to INR 10,000 towards tuition fees.
Eligibility Criteria for Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Delhi:
- Students need to be an Indian national.
- Students must be domiciled in Delhi.
- Students should belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category.
- Students must be studying at the post-matriculation/post-secondary level of studies in a government-recognized institution/college/university within India.
- Students should have an annual parent(s)/guardian income of not more than INR 2,50,000.
- Students must have secured an attendance of at least 75% in the previous year.
Application Process:
Students need to submit an application form ONLINE only.
Documents:
- The Aadhaar card of the applicant
- Aadhaar-seeded bank account details of the student
- Certificate, diploma, degree, mark sheet for all previously passed examinations
- Caste certificate issued in the name of the students or their fathers by the competent authority of the Government of NCT of Delhi
- Original fee receipts for the current academic session
- Fee structure with the official letterhead of the concerned institute with stamp and signature of the head of the institute
- Income certificate issued by the competent authority SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), GNCTD] of Delhi
- Certificate from the institution confirming that the student is not receiving any other scholarship or stipend
Value of the Scholarship:
Students will receive up to INR 10,000 to cover tuition fees and an annual academic allowance of up to INR 10,000.
Note:
Students studying through correspondence/online courses shall not be eligible for academic allowance.
