The Department of Journalism Studies is delighted to offer two Dan Walker Journalism Scholarships worth £10,000 each for home fee-paying students starting a taught postgraduate course in journalism in 2025.
Eligibility for The Dan Walker Journalism Scholarship:
- Applicants must be from a group that is evidentially underrepresented among the institution's taught masters population - see the widening participation criteria below.
- Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Sheffield before the application deadline to study the MA Journalism or MA Broadcast Journalism course starting in September 2025.
- Applicants must be home fee-paying students.
- Applicants must not already be qualified at the master's level or higher.
- Applicants must be self-funding.
Application Process:
Students need to submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.
Value of the Scholarship:
The successful applicants of The Dan Walker Journalism Scholarship will receive GBP 10,000 from the university.
