Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships at UCL 2025

For 2024–2025, the Wolfson Foundation is providing six postgraduate research grants in the humanities. These will cover three subjects: languages, literature, and history. Six prizes total—three for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and three for the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences—will be given out for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Eligibility for Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships:

• Applicants can be of any nationality.
• Applicants must do their research in history, literature, or languages.
• Applicants must have superior academics.
  • First-class honors degree at the undergraduate level,
  • Master's degree from a recognized university in a field of study relevant to their proposed doctoral research.
• Applicants must begin their doctoral study at the start of the academic year 2025/26.

Value of Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships:

The Wolfson scholarship consists of full tuition fees (either home or overseas) plus a maintenance stipend for 3 years (or up to six years part-time). For 2025/26, the year 1 stipend rate is £28,840 for full-time study (rates are calculated 'pro rata' for part-time students).
