About this scholarship
After the placement is completed, you will receive the award in cash if you fulfill the requirements of the UQ PhD Industry Placement Award. At that point, you will also be eligible for a maximum of 3.75 years Full-Time Equivalent tuition extension as well as a thesis submission date extension.
Eligibility for UQ PhD Industry Placement Award:
- The candidate must be a full-time or part-time PhD student at UQ.
- The candidate must be receiving a living stipend from a sponsor outside of UQ or not be receiving any living stipend scholarships.
- The candidate must have completed a Ph.D. Industry Placement that was coordinated by the Graduate School and lasted at least 60 working days.
- During the first 18 months of candidacy, the candidate must have worked with the Graduate School to plan and register their intent to undertake an HDR Placement by submitting and having their project brief approved via myUQ.
Application Process:
As part of the Graduate School Industry Placement Program, the candidate should undertake an HDR placement.
