Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship for Vietnam at University of Waikato 2024/25

To enhance educational opportunities, encourage internationalization, and provide support to exceptional international applicants enrolling as first-year students in undergraduate or postgraduate programs at the University of Waikato, the Vice-Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship for Vietnam was established in 2015.

Eligibility for Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship for Vietnam at the University of Waikato:

• The candidate must be a Vietnamese national or lawful permanent resident.
• The candidate must be a new international student at the University of Waikato seeking full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• The University of Waikato should have extended an unconditional or conditional offer of admission to the candidate.
• To be admitted to the University of Waikato, an applicant must have a minimum GPA equivalent to a B+.
• Applicants should be self-funded and should not be enrolled in the university via a sponsoring body.

Selection Criteria:

• The basis of academic merit;
• Potential to become global ambassadors for the University of Waikato

Application Process:

Applicants must attach their unconditional or conditional offer of placement from the University of Waikato as part of their online application. When describing their motivation for attending the University of Waikato and how they want to serve as a global representative of the institution, applicants should make sure they describe it in complete detail.

Value of the Scholarship:

Students will receive up to NZD 15,000 towards tuition fees.
