Eligibility Criteria for the Matthew Flinders Scholarship at Flinders University 2026:

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled full‑time at Flinders University (part‑time may be considered in exceptional circumstances such as disability, illness or carer responsibilities).
• Have completed a minimum of one year (36 units / 1 EFTSL) of full‑time equivalent study toward their course.
• For domestic applicants:
  • Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder.
  • Be in receipt of a Commonwealth Income Support payment or able to demonstrate equivalent financial hardship.
  • Be facing difficult circumstances beyond your control that are increasing financial hardship.
• For international applicants:
  • Be an international student enrolled onshore in Australia.
  • Be facing genuine financial hardship caused by difficult circumstances beyond your control.

Value of the Matthew Flinders Scholarship at Flinders University 2026:

The scholarships are to be used to assist students in the continuation of studies at Flinders University. Each scholarship will consist of a single payment of $1,000.

The number of scholarships will be dependent on available funds.
