University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship 2025

Eligibility Criteria for the University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship:

• Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Applicants must be in their final year of secondary education at a New Zealand school or kura.
• Applicants must intend to enroll full-time in a degree at the University of Auckland in the following year.
• Applications may also be considered for:
  • Students who are studying overseas in an NCEA, IB, or CIE programme.
  • Māori and Pacific students who plan to enroll in the Certificate in Health Sciences at the university.

Selection Criteria for the University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship:

• Based on outstanding academic results, including NCEA Level 2 or higher, or an equivalent qualification.
• Participation in Māori performing arts, leadership potential, achievements in academic, sports, or arts competitions.
• Factors like financial need, being the first in the family to attend university, a refugee background, disability, care responsibilities, or living in a rural area will be considered.

Value of University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship:

 $25,000, which covers the full cost of catered accommodation in a single room at a University of Auckland Hall of Residence and an additional $5,000 cash component.
