Sanctuary Scholarships at The University of Glasgow 2025

Sanctuary Scholarships at The University of Glasgow is offered to selected category of nationalities. The successful candidates can avail of full tuition fee waiver, allowance and accommodation throughout the study duration.

Eligibility Criteria of Sanctuary Scholarships at The University of Glasgow:

• Applicants must obtain a conditional or unconditional offer for full time study at the University.
• Applicants must be enrolling for the academic year 2025-26.
• Applicants must hold one of the following status for fee-paying purposes:
  • Submitted a claim for asylum in the UK
  • Appealing a negative decision on claim for asylum in the UK
  • Have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection (HP) or Discretionary Leave (DL) by the Home Office, as a result of an asylum claim.
  • Have come to the UK through schemes such as:
    • Ukraine Family Scheme
    • UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS)
    • Afghan citizens Resettlement Scheme
    • Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP)
    • Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine)
    • Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS)

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates can avail of the following benefits:

• Full tuition fee waiver
• £5,000 per year towards for study costs
• University of Glasgow accommodation for the duration of study (subject to conditions)
