Theater Scholarships at Transylvania University 2024

Transylvania University offers multiple scholarship programs under the Fine Arts Scholarship Program. One of the scholarships provided under the Fine Arts Scholarship Program is the Theater scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must be an incoming first-year student.
• The applicant must have been admitted to the university for the 2024-2025 academic year.
• The applicant, if chosen for another award, can avail of only any one of the scholarships.
• The applicants must enroll in the Technical Theater course in their first semester and theater practicum (¼ credit) in the fall and winter terms during their four years at the university.
• The applicant can be any student who has a passion for theater.
• The applicants must submit a recent photograph and a theater resume.

Application Process:

• Interested candidates must submit an online application.
• The candidates must prepare for the interview too.
• The candidates can apply for the scholarship in the following quotas:
  • Performance - Students are required to audition with a maximum of a two-minute, memorized monologue.
  • Design Tech / Stage Management - Students must provide a portfolio of their theater experience.

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship value ranges from USD 1,000 to USD 3,000 annually.
