Study and Living Support Grants

• The Study and Living Support Grant is designed to assist local students experiencing financial difficulties, helping them meet basic living costs while studying at Swinburne University.
• The grant offers $2,000, paid in two instalments during April/May and September.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Study and Living Support Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality: You must be a local student (Australian citizen, permanent resident, permanent humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen).
• Course: You must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree, associate degree, or UniLink course at Swinburne.
• Study Status: You must be enrolled full-time or part-time and actively studying in 2025.
• Financial Need: You must demonstrate that you are from a low socio-economic background, such as being a recipient of Centrelink payments, or from a regional/remote background, or identify as Indigenous Australian.

Application Process

To apply for the Study and Living Support Grant, follow these steps:

• Complete an Online Application: Applicants must submit an online application form along with all required supporting documentation by 11:59 pm on Friday, 28 March 2025.
• Supporting Documentation: Include relevant documents such as a Centrelink Statement (for both you and, if applicable, your parents/guardians), or payslips if you are not in receipt of Centrelink.
• If you have a medical condition or disability, provide a letter from a health professional.
