Background:
This scholarship was founded in 1946 by Dr. WM Strong of Port Moresby to encourage education and research in subjects relevant to the particular needs of the then territory of Papua.
Eligibility for the Walter Mersh Strong Scholarship for Papua New Guinea:
- Applicants must be citizens of Papua New Guinea.
- Applicants must have an unconditional offer to study the following:
- Master of Agriculture and Environment
- Master of Public Health
- Master of Global Health
- Master of Education
- Master of Social Work
- Applicants must have applied for admission in Semester 1 and received an unconditional offer of admission by 31 October in the previous year.
- Applicants must have an Australian bachelor's degree with outstanding results, as deemed by the University of Sydney.
