The purpose of this scholarship is to support students in studying for an Honours or Master's degree in Economics or Political Science at the University of Canterbury. The scholarship was established in 1994 by a gift from Alan Gibbs.
Eligibility for the F.A. Hayek Scholarship in Economics or Political Science:
- Applicants may come from any nationality.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a program for a Master's or Honours degree in Economics or Political Science with a course weighting in the range of 90-180 points.
- The program must include a research component of at least 30 points.
- The applicant must exhibit good academic standing.
