Playford Trust / Capral Aluminium Scholarship at Flinders University 2025

Eligibility:

• Must be prepared to begin third year in mechanical, metallurgical, chemical, or electrical engineering at a public South Australian university.
• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident visa holder, and a resident of South Australia.
• Should intend to spend a significant portion of their career in South Australia or contribute to the state.
• Must have an outstanding academic record.
• Should be of good character, with preference for students who show leadership potential.
• Must be available to complete a work placement within 6 months of receiving the scholarship.

Value:

• The Playford Trust, in collaboration with Capral Aluminium, offers a $10,000 scholarship.
• The scholarship is available for third or fourth-year students studying mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
• The selected student will gain industry experience through a paid work placement at Capral's Angaston site.
• The placement provides exposure to diverse project areas including advanced control systems, digitization, energy efficiency, sustainability, design, asset management, and reliability.
• The student will have the opportunity to contribute to solving complex problems under the guidance of senior engineers.
