Established in 2015, the Prize is awarded by a grateful alumnus in honor of Professor Northey. The Prize's primary goal is to identify and honor the student who has the highest grade in immigration and refugee law.
Eligibility for Northey Prize in Immigration and Refugee Law 2025:
- Student who receives the highest grade in LAWPUBL 424 Immigration and Refugee Law, LAWPUBL 443 Refugee Law, or LAWPUBL 444 Immigration Law will receive the Prize each year.
- The University of Auckland Council grants the Prize based on the Dean of the Faculty of Law's nomination.
- Students need to be classified as international fee-paying students.
Application Process:
Students don't need to complete an online application or apply for this scholarship. It is given out based on the advice of the appropriate University of Auckland committee or faculty.
