Charles Francis Martin & Maude Williams Martin Scholarship
The Charles Francis Martin and Maude Williams Martin Memorial Scholarship in English was established by friends and family to honor Charles Martin; who served Central for 43 years as a professor in Languages and Literature, as head of the Department of English, and as chair of the Division of Languages and Literature; and Maude Martin, who also taught English and was head of the Foreign Language Department.
Eligibility criteria for Charles Francis Martin & Maude Williams Martin Scholarship
- Must be a senior or graduate student majoring in English
- Must have completed a minimum of 15 hours in English
- Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average in English of 3.0
- Applicants must demonstrate promise and merit in the teaching of English and/or writing.
