The Western Colorado University Foundation, a nonprofit corporation established to provide private support to Western Colorado University, announces The Nancy Menan Foundation Scholars Program. The funds for this program are donated to the Foundation by Western alumni, friends, and parents. This scholarship is highly competitive. The Western Colorado University Foundation, a non-profit corporation established to provide private support for Western, began this premiere scholarship in 1997. The program's goal is to encourage and reward academic and leadership excellence at Western. The funds for this program are donated to the Foundation by Western alumni, friends, and parents. In 2017 the fund became endowed through gifts made by the estate of Nancy Menan.
Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates should have a high school, transfer, or Western grade point average of, at minimum, 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- For high school applicants, an accompanying score of 25 or higher is required on the ACT or 1100 on the SAT.
- Candidates must also demonstrate leadership qualities or experience.
