Helen N. Pardee Scholarship

The Helen N. Pardee Scholarship is a prestigious award designed to support full-time students who are enrolled in teacher preparation programs. This scholarship is aimed at students who demonstrate both academic excellence and a strong commitment to pursuing a career in education. The scholarship honors those who are preparing to teach in fields such as Child and Adolescent Development (ChAD-Plan A), Teacher Education (TED), or Special Education. By offering financial assistance, the Helen N. Pardee Scholarship helps ease the financial burden for future educators who are dedicated to shaping young minds and fostering learning in the classroom.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Helen N. Pardee Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Minimum GPA of 3.0:

• Applicants must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to demonstrate academic success and commitment to their studies.

Full-Time Enrollment:

• Undergraduate and credential students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units per semester to maintain full-time status.

Enrolled in a Teacher Preparation Program:

• The scholarship is available to students who are currently enrolled in one of the following teacher preparation programs:
• Child and Adolescent Development (ChAD-Plan A)
  Teacher Education (TED)

Special Education

Qualifies for Financial Aid:

• Applicants must meet the financial aid eligibility criteria, demonstrating financial need as part of their application.

Enrollment in Both Fall and Spring Semesters:

• The scholarship recipient must be enrolled for both the Fall and Spring semesters of the academic year to receive the award.

• The Helen N. Pardee Scholarship offers a $4,000.00 award. This generous amount is intended to help cover tuition fees, books, and other educational expenses for students who are pursuing their teaching credentials.
• The scholarship is designed to ease the financial burden for students committed to becoming educators.

Application Process

• To apply for the Helen N. Pardee Scholarship, follow these steps:
• Complete the General Application: Submit your General Scholarship Application through your institution’s scholarship portal.
• By completing this, you will automatically be considered for the Helen N. Pardee Scholarship, as it is based on your completed general application.

Ensure Eligibility:

• Double-check that you meet all of the eligibility requirements, including your enrollment status, program, GPA, and financial aid eligibility.

Write a Thank You Note:

• If selected as the recipient, you will be required to write a thank you note to the donor, expressing your appreciation for their generous contribution toward your education.

Deadline:

• All applications must be submitted by April 15, 2024.
