Hope Foundation Scholarship for Research on Ageing at Victoria University of Wellington 2024

Purpose:

These awards, founded in 2003 as The HOPE Foundation Awards, are meant to assist college students who are just starting in their professions and are interested in studying aging.

Eligibility Criteria for Hope Foundation Scholarship for Research on Ageing at Victoria University of Wellington 2024:

• Applicants must be enrolled or intending to enroll full-time or part-time in a Master's (by thesis) or Doctoral study at Victoria University of Wellington.
• Applicants' research must be on a topic related to ageing.
• Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.

Selection Criteria:

• The quality of the research proposal
• The relevance of the research to the ageing population and the HOPE Foundation’s objectives
• The academic merit of the applicant as measured by the grade point average assessed over the applicant’s two most recent years of equivalent full-time study
• The Selection Committee is not obligated to make an award in any year if it determines that there are no applications of sufficient merit

Value of the Scholarship:

One or more scholarships of $6,000 will be awarded annually. The scholarship will be paid in two equal installments at the beginning of each trimester, on confirmation of enrolment.
