Scholarship Overview: Exploring Bacteria-Mycorrhizal Fungi-Plant Interactions Regulating Nutrient Exchange

1. Eligibility

• This scholarship is open to international (including EU) and UK (home) students. Applicants must hold or be on track to obtain at least an upper second-class honours degree or equivalent in biological, chemical, physical sciences, or mathematics.
• The project encourages applicants interested in applying their skills to biological research.

• The Yorkshire Bioscience Doctoral Training Partnership (YBDTP) is committed to attracting exceptional candidates, especially from underrepresented groups in science.

2. Application Process

• To apply, candidates must submit an Expression of Interest form by 5pm, Friday 14th March 2025.
• Applicants may apply for up to three YBDTP projects across different universities. It is recommended to carefully review the form before submitting.

3. Value/Benefits

• This fully funded studentship is available for four years, with a tax-free annual stipend at the standard UKRI rate (£19,237 for 2024/25 entry).
• This funding also covers tuition fees at the UK rate and research costs.
• International students will need additional funds to cover visa costs, NHS health surcharge, and travel expenses as these are not included in the funding package.
