About the Scholarship:
Named for Laureate Professor Emeritus Cheryl Saunders AO (BA 1966 Arts, LLB(Hons) 1966, PhD Law 1976), the Cheryl Saunders Scholarship celebrates Professor Saunders’ magnificent contributions to legal education and constitutional law.
Eligibility Criteria for Cheryl Saunders Scholarship 2024/25:
- Students need to be classified as Australian nationals.
- Students must be admitted to the Melbourne JD at Melbourne Law School.
- Students should have applied for and received admission to the Melbourne Juris Doctor in the upcoming intake.
- Students should have applied through Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) under the 'Disadvantaged socio-economic circumstances' category.
Selection Criteria:
The scholarship is awarded based on both academic merit and demonstrated financial need.
Application Process:
No application is required. Students will be automatically considered for this award upon enrollment with the university.
Value of the Scholarship:
AUD 5,000 per year over three years (total AUD 15,000).
