Eligibility for China Scholarship Council (CSC) – Trinity College Dublin Joint Scholarship Programme:
- At the time of application, candidates must be citizens of the People's Republic of China and residents there permanently (apart from Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan). Subject to the CSC policy in effect at the moment, Chinese students studying abroad may be eligible to apply; however, they must be enrolled full-time in a Master's program at a Chinese university. If a student has an unconditional offer letter or letter of invitation combining master's and doctoral studies, they can also apply. This includes final-year bachelor's degree holders who intend to pursue a master-doctor combined program.
- Individuals with a Master's degree who are employed by Chinese higher education institutions, scientific research institutes, administrative bodies, or businesses are eligible.
- After their education or research is over, successful students are expected to return to China.
- Only Chinese students enrolled in their last year of master's degree programs, recent graduates (less than a year), and those in the first year of their doctoral program are eligible to apply for the joint scholarship program from abroad. After completing their Trinity application, overseas Chinese students must be nominated by the Chinese Embassy's Education Section in Ireland.
- Candidates need to have an unconditional offer letter from Trinity College Dublin or an invitation letter for joint PhD applicants. As a result, they must meet any relevant academic admission requirements established by Trinity, including a high competence level in the English language. In certain cases, conditional offer letters may be accepted; however, these offers may not be dependent on English language test results.
- The CSC's selection criteria should be met by applicants. The CSC has the right to alter this policy at any time.
