Beatrice Ratcliffe Postgraduate Scholarship in Music 2024

The Scholarship program was started in 2016. The Beatrice Ratcliffe Charitable Trust left money for scholarships to the University of Auckland's School of Music, thanks to a bequest from Richard Guy Ratcliffe.  The Scholarship's primary goal is to support and encourage students doing postgraduate work at the School of Music.

Eligibility for Beatrice Ratcliffe Postgraduate Scholarship in Music:

• To be eligible for and receive the Scholarship, the candidate must be enrolled in the University of Auckland's School of Music and have either paid the required fees or made arrangements to do so to be enrolled in a Bachelor of Music (Honours), Postgraduate Diploma in Music, Master of Music, Doctor of Music, Doctor of Musical Arts, or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
• Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply for the scholarships.
• Academic merit, as determined by the grade point average (GPA) or grade point equivalent (GPE) computed over the most recent qualifying program, and the likelihood of success in the music industry will serve as the foundation for selection. The most recent qualifying program GPA or GPE of the successful applicants must be at least 6.5.
