Eligibility criteria for the Australasian Institute of Metals Prize:
- Applicants must be final-year students in a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) degree programme majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Canterbury.
- The prize is awarded by the University Council on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
- The recommendations are made after consulting with the Executive of the Southern Division of the New Zealand Branch of the Australasian Institute of Metals and taking into account the caliber of the metallurgical project finished in the year of the award.
- The recipient must give permission for the award's acceptance to be announced and published.
Value of Australasian Institute of Metals Prize:
Successful applicants will get a monetary award at a value of $500.
