Overview
Oxford Brookes has partnered with the Unite Foundation to offer the "A Home at University" scholarship. This initiative supports care leavers and estranged students by providing them with a free en-suite student bedroom in a purpose-built accommodation building. The scholarship covers rent for 365 days a year for up to three years of academic study.
Eligibility
To apply, students must meet the following criteria:
- Have a confirmed offer from Oxford Brookes starting in September/October 2023.
- Be a statutory care leaver or estranged from their family.
- Be studying for their first undergraduate degree.
- Be aged 25 or under on 1 September 2023.
- Be eligible for UK home fee status (not international).
Application Process
- Complete the online application form on the Unite Foundation’s website.
- Oxford Brookes will verify eligibility through an online portal.
- The Unite Foundation will conduct the selection process, ensuring fairness by selecting applicants anonymously.
