Golden Hive Endowed Scholarship

The Golden Hive Scholarship is intended to support students who recently transferred to Sacramento State and attend the university on a part-time basis.

Eligibility criteria for Golden Hive Endowed Scholarship -

• The applicant must have an overall GPA of 3.0
• The applicant can be from any majors.
• The applicant can be an Undergraduate/ Graduate.
• The applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 units.

Application process -

• The applicant must also answer the supplemental questions asked by the University.
  • Please submit an unofficial copy of your Sacramento State or community college transcript.
  • Please submit a resume of extracurricular activities and/or employment, awards and achievements, not to exceed one page, which you would like considered by the scholarship committee. (For example: student government, school clubs, science projects, volunteer activity, work experience.) Must include the date(s) of participation and any leadership roles held.
  • Please submit a personal essay/statement not to exceed 750 words, describing why you chose to attend Sacramento State, your degree and career goals, any hardships or obstacles you face in pursuit of your education at Sacramento State, and what you are doing to overcome those hardships.
  • Sac State Faculty and Staff Letter of Reference Request:
    Please ask your reference for their time before filling out their names and email addresses on the scholarship application.
    Your reference must be a faculty or staff member who can attest to your qualities, personality, and experience.

Value of the scholarship - USD 1,000

Note - The Student recipients, that meet the scholarship criteria, are eligible to reapply for the scholarship award. The student application will be considered by the Alumni Association scholarship committee as part of the entire applicant pool.
