Texas State Distinguished Scholarship at Texas State University 2024

Texas State University provides scholarships to incoming freshmen based on their admission credentials. Assured scholarships are given to students with SAT or ACT scores, while Merit Scholarships are available to students who apply without test scores.

Eligibility criteria and value:

• Applicant must submit an admission application, high school transcript, and official SAT or ACT scores.
• Open to all nationals admitted into Texas State as a first-time incoming freshman.
• $20,000 Total Award over 4 years (renewable)
  • $5,000/year
  • SAT 1160+ or ACT 24+
  • Top 26%-30% of class
• $16,000 Total Award over 4 years (renewable)
  • $4,000/year
  • Top 31%-35% of class
• $16,000 Total Award over 4 years (renewable)
  • $4,000/year
  • SAT 1060-1150 or ACT 21-23
  • Top 25% of class or IB/AP Capstone

Renewal Criteria:

• Must have a 3.25 cumulative Texas State GPA
• Complete 28 passing Texas State hours/year (fall/spring)
• Have an Undergraduate status
• Currently enrolled and not have earned a bachelor's degree
