Sydney Campbell Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship 2024

Purpose & Background:

The Sydney Campbell Postgraduate Scholarship supports agriculture and horticulture students from the Wairarapa. This scholarship is provided under the will of Sydney Campbell, who owned the Wairarapa sheep and beef farm Riverside Farm. Mr Campbell died in 1977.

Eligibility for the Sydney Campbell Postgraduate Scholarship:

• Applicant must be undertaking an appropriate postgraduate degree or diploma at Massey University.
• Candidate should be domiciled in Wairarapa south of Woodville, and between the coast and the Tararua/Remutaka Ranges.
• Students must have attended secondary school in this district.

Selection Criteria:

• Academic merit.
• The benefit to the applicant and their study in receiving this scholarship, and how well the applicant meets the conditions and intentions of the scholarship.

Courses Offered:

This is a postgraduate scholarship. Applicants will be studying for a master's degree or PhD in one of the following areas:

• agriculture and food (including agriscience, agribusiness, food technology, horticulture and agritech)
• veterinary science
• animal science and welfare
• environmental science as it relates to the biodiversity of farming.
