Founded in 1992 as a memorial to Karl Kessler, a University medical student who passed away in 1989 during his last year of studies due to an infectious condition. sustained by the money received from a fund that his friends had donated.
Eligibility for the Karl Kessler Memorial Prize:
- Candidates must be pursuing a doctor of medicine degree and have completed an elective in clinical infectious diseases, clinical microbiology, or public health, among other fields linked to infectious illnesses.
