Indigenous RISE Scholarship (UG)

• The Indigenous RISE Scholarship (UG) is designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in undergraduate courses at Swinburne University.
• The scholarship aims to help students realize their academic potential and engage in their studies with the resources they need to succeed.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Indigenous RISE Scholarship (UG), applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Nationality: The applicant must be an Australian citizen.
• Indigenous Heritage: Applicants must provide confirmation of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage through either a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate (COA) or a certified Statutory Declaration.
• This declaration must confirm the applicant's Indigenous descent or acceptance as such by their community.

Application Process

To apply for the Indigenous RISE Scholarship (UG), applicants must:

• Complete an online application form available on Swinburne's website.
• Submit all required documents, including the written statement or video, a Letter of Engagement from MTC, and evidence of educational disadvantage.

Benefits / Value

• The Indigenous RISE Scholarship (UG) is valued at $7,000 for one year, paid in two installments.
• The first payment is made upon awarding the scholarship, and the second installment is contingent upon the successful completion of the first semester with a 50% average across all enrolled units.
