Financial Services Law Laboratory Scholarships at Laval University 2024-25

Scholarships from the Financial Services Law Laboratory are intended to assist people in pursuing higher education, provided that their field of study is closely related to one of the Laboratory's research areas (banking, insurance, investments, and securities).

Eligibility criteria for Financial Services Law Laboratory Fellowships:

• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a master's or doctoral program at the university.
• Applicants recognized as student parents and enrolled part-time under the terms of the Policy on Student Parents of Université Laval may be eligible.
• Applicants must carry out a research project in financial services law.
• Applicants must have an excellent academic record.
• Applicants must surpass all the admission requirements set by the university.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

• A letter of no more than two pages detailing the subject of the essay, dissertation, or thesis, the link between the subject and one of the research areas of the Financial Services Law Laboratory
• The final transcript of grades at the graduation of the previous level of study;
• Most recent transcript from the current program (Capsule Version accepted);
• Most recent CV.

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship is awarded based on the following quotas:

• Scholarship of $1,500 for the essay,
• Scholarship of $3,500 for the dissertation
• Scholarship of $5,000 for the doctorate.
