ESRC South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP) 2024

Eligibility for  ESRC South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP):

• The candidate must have finished, or be scheduled to complete, a research master's degree with a major emphasis on research that is accredited by the ESRC or an equivalent program. It is possible to ask applicants for further information in order to assess the applicability of the material covered.
  
• At the time of application, the applicant's current average master's grade must generally be at least Merit (60%) grade. Funding is contingent upon successful applicants achieving BOTH an overall average of at least 60% throughout taught units/modules AND at least 60% for the dissertation component.
• Masters degree holders who are not deemed equal are required to apply for the Masters + PhD award. 

• UK and Irish nationals are eligible to apply for ESRC SWDTP studentships. If accepted, they will receive a full studentship that covers all living expenses, including tuition at universities at the home fees rate.

• International students, who are classed as citizens of the EU (apart from Irish nationals), EEA, Switzerland, and all other non-UK nations, are also eligible for a restricted number of full scholarships.
