EPSRC CDT in Developing National Capability for Materials 4.0, with the Henry Royce Institute at University of Sheffield 2025

Eligibility

• The EPSRC CDT in Developing National Capability for Materials 4.0, in collaboration with the Henry Royce Institute, invites applications from graduates holding a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a STEM-related field.
• Applicants should be eager to develop new skills and engage in innovative research in materials science.
• The program is open to both UK and international candidates, though only 30% of the cohort can be from outside the UK.
• Female applicants are especially encouraged.
• Additional documents such as a CV, academic transcripts, and English proficiency proof may be required.

Application Process

• To apply for a PhD position, candidates must select a project hosted by one of the participating institutions and follow the specific admissions process for that institution.
• As the program is part of a multi-institutional initiative, applicants must submit their applications directly to the institution offering their chosen project.
