• This scholarship is designed for international students from specific countries looking to start Year 1 of their undergraduate studies at the University of Essex in the 2025-26 academic year.
• The award provides a £3,000 discount on tuition fees.

Scholarship Amount:

• £3,000 per scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:

• Self-funded overseas fee-paying students (repayable loans qualify).
  Must be ordinarily resident in one of the eligible countries for the past 3 years (1 Sep 2022 - 1 Sep 2025).
• Must be starting Year 1 of a full-time undergraduate degree (e.g., Bachelor's, Integrated Masters).
• Cannot be combined with other University of Essex scholarships.
• Available for first-year undergraduate study only.

Ineligible Students:

• Pathway students from University of Essex International College (UEIC).
• Online-only degree students.
• Students already receiving course-related discounts (e.g., LLB Licence in English and French Law).
• Students receiving full or partial sponsorships from government or agencies (excluding VISA sponsorship).
• Students entering second or third year.

Ordinary Residence Definition:

• Must have lived habitually and lawfully in one of the eligible countries for 3 years before the start of your course.
