The Sydney International Equity Scholarship is provided in collaboration with the University of Sydney's principal international partners, aimed at supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be classed as an international student.
- The applicant must enroll in a full-time degree program at the university.
- The applicant must be endorsed as a potential candidate by the relevant global partner organization.
- The applicant must surpass all requirements set by the relevant key global partner organization.
- The applicant needs to be a citizen of a country where the relevant key global partner is active.
- The applicants commencing a second degree at the University of Sydney are ineligible.
Application Process:
- The potential candidates must be selected by the global partners of the University of Sydney.
- The eligible candidates are assessed for the scholarship based on their admission application.
Value of the Scholarship:
The successful candidates can avail of the following benefits:
- Full tuition fees,
- Single overseas health cover,
- Student Services Amenities Fee,
- AUD 12,000 per annum living allowance,
- AUD 1,000 per year for textbooks,
- AUD 3,000 per year for ancillary costs associated with their degree,
- On-campus accommodation,
- Visa application fee,
- Return flight ticket to Australia to commence the relevant degree and to return to their home country after the relevant degree (maximum value of AUD 4,000).
