About this scholarship:
The Schmidt Science Fellows program equips the world's brightest emerging scientists with new skills and perspectives, allowing them to explore unique solutions to society's problems, become scientific and societal thought leaders, and expedite groundbreaking discoveries.
Eligibility for the Schmidt Science Fellowship:
- Applicants must have conducted their graduate degree in the natural sciences (Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences), Engineering, Mathematics, or Computing – and all sub-disciplines therein.
- Candidates should have completed, or expect to complete, all of the requirements for the conferral of their PhD in one of these fields between 15 May 2023 and 30 July 2024.
- Candidates must be available for the entire period of the 2024 program, from April 2024 to November 2025 including onboarding activities, attendance of the Global Meeting Series and a Senior Fellows event.
Benefits:
- A stipend of $100,000 for living expenses.
- All costs associated with the Global Meeting Series – including travel, temporary lodging, and meals – are fully reimbursed.
