The main purpose of the Sagar-Vandewart Prize for String Players at the University of Auckland is to assist promising string players to further their performance studies at the University of Auckland.
Eligibility Criteria for the Sagar-Vandewart Prize for String Players at the University of Auckland 2025:
- Applicants must be full-time string students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music program at the School of Music at the University of Auckland.
- Applicants must have successfully completed MUS 121 (likely a course focused on classical music or string performance) and attained the highest grade in the course.
- Applicants must be proceeding to Stage Two courses in the Classical Performance major of the Bachelor of Music program.
- Applicants must have achieved an A- grade in MUS 121 as a minimum standard
Value of the Sagar-Vandewart Prize for String Players at the University of Auckland 2025:
The annual value of the prize will be $1,000.
