James and John Trevelyan Master's Travel Grant 2024

In order to support and encourage a master's student to pursue interdisciplinary research in the field of Muslim States and Societies at the University and to create a community of scholars in this field through an affiliation with the Centre for Muslim States and Societies (CMSS), Professors Samina Yasmeen and James Trevelyan have donated funds to The University of Western Australia.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applicant must be enrolled or eligible to enroll full-time in a master’s degree by coursework.
• Student must be undertaking a research project relevant to Muslim states and communities in the Indian Ocean region and reasonably expect to undertake travel as part of the research project.

Application process:

• Applications are called for by Coursework Scholarships and Prizes and must be submitted by the advertised closing date.
• Applicants must include a statement of one page -

             1) by confirming their affiliation with the Center of Muslim States and Societies 

             2) by outlining their intended research and how this relates to Muslim states and communities in the Indian Ocean Region

             3) by providing details on intended travel as part of their research and how this scholarship will assist them.
