Low-income students who face unanticipated financial hardship due to an emergency or unforeseen circumstance that could jeopardize their academic progress are eligible for CQUniCares Emergency Grants. The grant is intended to help these students continue their education.

Eligibility for CQUniCares Emergency Grant:

Be an Australian Citizen, a New Zealand Citizen, an Australian Permanent Resident, or a holder of a Humanitarian Visa with a permanent home address in Australia.
Be experiencing genuine, urgent financial need due to unforeseen circumstances or an emergency that could significantly impact study progress.
Be enrolled and actively studying in one of the following at CQUniversity:
- Certificate I–IV
- Enabling/Pathway programs
- Undergraduate programs
- Postgraduate programs
Have successfully completed at least one term of study at CQUniversity.
Not be a cross-institutional student (i.e., CQUniversity must be the student's home institution).
Not have received a CQUniCares Emergency Grant in the past 12 months.
