To be eligible for the Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship (ICECS) and the Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship (ICAS), applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality: Applicants must be Australian citizens of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage. Evidence of this can be provided by submitting a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate (COA) or a certified Statutory Declaration.
• Course Eligibility: The scholarships are available to both commencing and continuing students enrolled in any undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, or Higher Degree by Research course offered by Swinburne University.
• Financial Criteria: Applicants must demonstrate low socio-economic status or financial hardship, with supporting documentation like a Centrelink statement, payslips, or bank statements.
