Hugh Laracy Pacific History Memorial Prize at University of Auckland 2024/25

The University of Auckland is ranked within the top 100 of the QS World University Rankings, making it New Zealand’s highest-ranked university. It is also the largest and most comprehensive. The University’s student population includes 7,000 international students representing over 120 countries. The main purpose of the Prize is to recognize and reward the top student in the first year of a Bachelor of Arts in Pacific History at the University of Auckland.

Eligibility for Hugh Laracy Pacific History Memorial Prize 2024/25:

• The Prize will be awarded to the full-time student who is a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts conjoint degree at the University of Auckland, achieving the highest grade in HISTORY 104 Pacific History: An Introduction. 
• In the event of a tie, the Prize will be awarded to the student receiving the highest mark in HISTORY 104.

Application Process:

Students do not need to apply for this scholarship, award, or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.

Value of Hugh Laracy Pacific History Memorial Prize 2024/25:

One Hugh Laracy Pacific History Memorial Prize 2024/25 to the value of NZD 1,000 will be awarded annually.
