The purpose of this scholarship is to support students of violin, viola, cello, or double bass in the School of Music at the University of Canterbury.
Eligibility criteria for the Harry Ellwood Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time or part-time program in the School of Music in violin, viola, cello, or double bass.
- At the time of accepting the scholarship, a recipient must have already successfully completed at least one year of such study in the school.
Selection criteria for the Harry Ellwood Scholarship:
- Standard in, and potential for, performance of violin, viola, cello, or double bass
- Academic merit
- Financial need.
Value for the Harry Ellwood Scholarship:
The scholarship provides financial assistance at a value of $2,000.
