The main purpose of the Excellence in Clinical Optometry Prize is to recognize and reward the student who achieves the highest GPA across three clinical courses in Part V of the Bachelor of Optometry.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time student program, achieving the highest GPA across Part V clinical courses in the Bachelor of Optometry (OPTOM 510 Advanced Clinical Optometry 1, OPTOM 520 Advanced Clinical Optometry 2, and OPTOM 561 Optometry in Practice) in the year of the award. In the event of a tie, the prize will be awarded to the student with the highest aggregate marks across OPTOM 510, OPTOM 520, and OPTOM 561.
Application Process:
Students do not need to apply for this scholarship, award, or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.

- The annual value of the Excellence in Clinical Optometry Prize will be NZD 500.
